INDEX software and modeling services
can be acquired in North America in the following ways:
- PlanBuilder
- A tool for benchmarking current conditions, digital charretting
of scenarios, and evaluation of scenarios with indicators measuring
urban design, multi-modal travel, and environmental effects. Scaleable
from neighborhoods to communities to regions, with scenario ranking
using stakeholder objectives. Available in a standard PC version
for $1900 with optional training and tech support. Order

- Paint
the Region - A specialized tool for regional growth
planning and visioning that allows users to sketch and evaluate
land-use and transportation scenarios across large geographic
regions. Currently available only in custom PC and Web versions.
- Custom INDEX Tools
- These are designed according to client specifications. Customization
costs are based on the type and scope of desired functionality,
extent of public participation in the process, and amount of work
shared between Criterion and local stakeholders. Criterion's fee
is based only on its labor and expenses to create the customization;
there is no charge for the INDEX license. Organizations that create
custom versions may distribute copies to their stakeholders at
no cost.
- Modeling Services
- Criterion may be retained at standard hourly rates to perform
INDEX modeling where analysis, but not software, is desired.
All international purchase inquiries outside North America must be
submittted via correspondence to the INDEX Sales Manager at Criterion's
office address.
